Gallery: Proofreading Showcase

The examples below are drawn from assessed training assignments completed as part of my professional proofreading qualifications with the Publishing Training Centre (PTC). They are simulated texts, used to demonstrate proofreading approach, accuracy, and editorial judgment across different formats.

Together, these samples illustrate my ability to adapt to the requirements of different publishers and projects, including work in Word using Track Changes, digital PDF annotation tools and traditional BSI proofreading symbols - both handwritten and using PDF stamps. The focus throughout is on clarity, consistency, accuracy and sensitivity to authorial voice, with author queries raised only where necessary.

All examples are shown for illustrative purposes only. Live client work is NOT displayed in order to respect confidentiality agreements.
